Below are a few of the logos I have created:

¬

Beaunique

Beau-nique

Beau-nique: {byoo-neek}-noun, beautiful, unique, becky farque.

Becky is one of those creative spirits that has the ability to turn one man’s trash into fantastic works of art and amazement. She’s been known to stop on the side of the road to pick up items that others are discarding, only to turn thier scraps into some of the most unique and beautiful furniture,

accessories and such you’ve ever seen. Her website has been set up so that she can easily add photographs of her work, and tell the story of each piece without the need to hire someone to continually update it—she can do all the updates, uploads and blogging she’d like all on her own. This logo was created with the words “beautiful” and “unique” in mind while also incorporating her name, Becky Farque, into the design.

Be sure to keep an eye on her website. As she creates more works of “trash to treasure” she’ll be uploading photographs, telling the story of each piece, sharing her techniques and possibly offering some of her works for sale.

BOXX

BOXX

BOXX creates machines uniquely tailored to the graphics industry. “Professionals discover right away they can leverage BOXX‘s unique graphics computing knowledge in ways that boost their creative power.”

“Once professionals experience how different it is to work with graphics computing power designed by BOXX, they wonder why anyone would risk a creative pipeline with mass-produced computers.”

Dave

Dave Chatfield—an icon!

This is an illustration of the Production Manager for Horizon Printing in Austin, Texas: Dave Chatfield. This image was originally created for a somewhat silly advertising campaign we launched in which we printed scratch-off lottery tickets and mailed them to our customers. They could scratch the ticket and win prizes which included discounts on their next printing order. The lottery tickets were a hit, and are printed often. The illustration of Dave is being used a lot these days for various promotional marketing material.

The image has been dubbed “Scratchin’ Dave.”

Ice

Ice

This is a simple illustration of ice. I was attempting to capture the translucent appearance of ice, but also like the way the ice looked as a perspective drawing with only outlines.

3-D Box

3-D Box

I love packaging. Figuring out the way something needs to be created in order for it to print and fold correctly is, in my opinion, the most exciting thing about the job of prepress. Packaging presents a whole new set of variables, thus making it a fun and rewarding challenge.
