please stand by

Having been born and raised in Louisiana, I grew up with an appreciation for food, fun and art that most others will never understand. I’ve been using computers for as long as I can remember, and drawing for even longer, so it seems appropriate that my professional career encompases a happy blend of creativity and technology.

I’ve been in the printing industry now for around fourteen years. My official title is Graphic/Interactive Designer, but my real passion is electronic prepress. There’s something quite satisfying and rewarding about converting shiny images and words into dots, and seeing the results in the form of “ink on paper.” The best part is trotting off to the pressroom to see the results on a massive piece of iron equipment! I’ve also begun getting back into the wonderful world of web design. I must say that while I’m enjoying creating for the Internet again, it’s nowhere near as fun as creating tangible works—even if they eventually end up in the trash or the bottom of a bird cage.

I’ll also be using this site for experimental work. You know, the things I don’t really know how to do yet. ¬
